The largest app ecosystem in the industry. For almost any need there is a ready app, whereas with us features come only from us.
International selling: multiple currencies, per-country tax rules and localised storefronts. For a shop selling outside Bulgaria that is a serious advantage.
Physical retail. Shopify POS ties the online shop to a till in a real store; we do not offer POS at all.
Scale and the ecosystem around the platform: a huge community, documentation, agencies and developers who already know it.

What costs extra for a Bulgarian shop
Bulgarian couriers. As of August 2026 Econt, Speedy and the locker networks typically require a paid app; with us the five couriers are built in and the waybill is issued from the order.
Borica. As of August 2026 Shopify does not support the Bulgarian bank gateway, so card payments go through an international processor instead.
Email marketing. As of August 2026 the newsletter is usually a separate subscription (the bill below prices Klaviyo); with us the newsletter and transactional email are in the plan.
A second storefront language. As of August 2026 it is added with a paid app; with us every text has a field per language from the Business plan upwards.
The Bulgarian fiscal rules. The Приложение 18а documents and the monthly Приложение 38 audit file are a local requirement a global platform does not cover.

you sell in several countries and currencies, you also run a physical shop with a till, you depend on a specific app that exists only there, or you have a team or agency already working in Shopify. In those cases their ecosystem is worth more than the price difference, and we are honestly not the better choice.

Does Shopify support Econt and Speedy?
Not natively. As of August 2026 the Bulgarian couriers are added through an app from the catalogue, usually paid, and waybills are issued through it. With us Econt and Speedy are included from the Pro plan, and Sameday, BOX NOW and Pigeon Express from Business.
Can I migrate from Shopify to ZweiHost?
Yes. Products, customers and order history upload from CSV or XLSX, and the old URLs come across as 301 redirects so you keep your Google positions. The domain stays yours in both directions.
