Settings → Users & access controls who signs in to your BackOffice and what they can see and change. The screen has two tabs: Users (the shop's accounts) and Access levels (the page bundles you give members).
Roles
Every account carries one role:
- Owner - full access, never restricted. Only an owner can manage owners and administrators. A shop can have several owners, but always keeps at least one.
- Administrator - full access to everything in your plan, including Billing. Creates and manages members and access levels.
- Member - sees only the pages of their access level. A member without a level sees nothing. The personal My profile page (password change and two-factor authentication), Dashboard and the help articles in Help are always reachable for everyone.
Adding a user
- Click Add user and enter an email.
- Pick a role, and for a member also an access level (or create a new one from the link under the field).
- The invitation is in Bulgarian by default; flip Send the email in English when needed.
Nothing is shown on screen - the new user gets an email with a set-password link (valid 7 days). If the address already has a ZweiHost profile, it is simply linked to the shop and notified with a "You've been added to…" email - their password is untouched. For an account that hasn't signed in yet (status Pending), you can resend the email from the paper-plane icon. The resent email is always in Bulgarian.
The user limit
The BackOffice users meter shows how many accounts you use of those included in your plan - it counts every role. At the limit, adding stops and Upgrade plan appears; changing an existing account's role never hits the limit.
Access levels
A level is a named bundle of pages - one switch per menu page, grouped by section. Create one with Create level: name it and pick a starting point - Empty level or a template (Marketing, Orders & delivery, Content). The template only prefills the pages; after creation you edit everything from the level's row.
- A section's switch turns the whole section on/off; then fine-tune page by page.
- Greyed pages are not in your plan - they are kept but not applied. After a plan upgrade they resume on their own.
- Level changes apply immediately to every member carrying it - no re-login.
- A level still used by members can't be deleted - move them to another level first.
AI assistant
At the top of a level, above the sections, sits the AI assistant switch. It is not a page: it lets the members with this level use the AI features in the BackOffice, and whatever AI does for them is paid from the shop's shared AI allowance. It is off by default - in the empty level, in every template, and in every level created before the switch existed. Turn it on only for the levels that need it. Owners and administrators can always use AI. Topping up the allowance is a separate permission - the AI Assistant page under Online store.
Site editor
The Site editor page (under Online store) gives editing the site in a draft. The separate Publish the site switch gives publishing the draft, discarding changes and the history with "Undo"; it is off by default. A member with the page only prepares changes, and someone with the key publishes them. Levels that gave the former "Landing page" or "Hero carousel" pages now give the editor. Owners and administrators have both. See Site editor.
Removing access
Remove takes away the person's access to this shop. Their ZweiHost profile and their other shops are unaffected. Removal applies immediately - it does not wait for the person to sign out. If they have the shop open right now, their next action moves them to another shop of theirs, or signs them out if they have none.
