Which couriers you can connect

ZweiHost ships with built-in integrations for the five most used couriers in Bulgaria - Econt, Speedy, Sameday, BOX NOW and Pigeon Express. You connect your account once in the settings and the courier appears in your shop’s checkout. No external modules, plugins or separate subscriptions needed.

They do not all do the same thing, and that matters when you choose. Econt covers office, address and locker; Speedy covers office and address; Pigeon Express covers address, office and locker; Sameday covers address and easybox lockers. BOX NOW is locker-only, which is an advantage for small parcels and round-the-clock collection, but no use if your customers expect delivery to the door.

You do not have to switch them all on. Most shops start with one or two and add a third when customers start asking for it. Every courier you enable appears as a choice at checkout, so more couriers means more decisions for the customer - which sometimes helps and sometimes just slows the order down.

Cash on delivery and automatic waybills

For every order ZweiHost generates the waybill automatically - with the address, the weight and the cash-on-delivery amount. You print labels in batches and request a courier pickup straight from the admin panel. Cash on delivery is reconciled against the orders automatically, so you always see which amounts have been paid out.

The pickup request goes through the platform for Speedy and Pigeon Express. For the others you drop the parcels at an office or book a courier in that courier’s own portal - the integration still issues the waybill, the collection is simply arranged outside the shop. Which suits you depends on how many parcels you send a day.

There is a tax side to this that surprises a lot of shops. With cash on delivery through a courier licensed for postal money transfers, the courier’s receipt stands in for the fiscal one; with a courier without that licence the obligation stays yours. The difference is between specific couriers, not about “cash on delivery” in general, and it is set out in a guide of its own.

Office, address or locker - the customer chooses

At checkout the customer chooses delivery to an office, to an address or to a locker. Offices load from the courier’s live directory and show up on a map. Customers with an account can save their favourite office to order faster next time.

The price comes live from the courier for Econt, Speedy, Sameday and Pigeon Express - meaning the customer sees the real price for their own parcel and their own address, not an approximation. BOX NOW has no such service, so it is priced from your own rate table. If you prefer predictable prices you can use a table for the others too, including by region.

You also decide who pays. Delivery can be at the customer’s expense, free above a certain amount, or entirely on you. A free-shipping threshold is the simplest way to lift the average order, as long as it is calculated so it does not eat the margin - and for office and locker delivery, which cost less, the threshold can be lower.

Tracking and parcels that come back

Once a parcel is moving its status updates on its own and the order moves with it - a delivered parcel closes the order without you opening the courier’s site. It is also where you see whether the cash-on-delivery amount has been collected, so you are not reconciling two systems in your head.

A share of parcels always comes back - the customer did not collect it from the office, or refused it on delivery. That is normal with cash on delivery and it is a cost worth watching: uncollected parcels are paid for in both directions and are shown separately, so you know whether they are an exception or a pattern around a particular product or price.

For an actual customer return, a reverse waybill is issued for Econt and Speedy. With the other three the return is arranged outside the shop - it works, the label simply does not come from the admin. If you expect frequent returns, that is a real criterion when choosing a courier rather than a detail.

How to connect your courier account

Connecting takes minutes: open the delivery settings, pick the courier and enter the credentials from your own courier account. Then choose which services to offer - office, address or locker - and which office your shipments leave from. If you don’t have a courier contract yet, signing up with them is quick too, and until then you can try everything in test mode.

The contract is yours, and that is worth saying plainly: the integration is built in, but the account with Econt, Speedy or whichever you pick is in your name and on your terms. The platform does not negotiate rates on your behalf - it uses the tariff you agreed, which means any discount you win stays yours.

Before going live, walk through test mode: place an order as a customer, pick an office, issue a waybill and read the email the customer receives. If a courier cannot price a given parcel, the order is not recorded with zero delivery - it is flagged so you can set the price yourself, instead of shipping free without noticing.
