Newsletter

Collect subscribers via a signup section and pop-up, then send bulk campaigns with the email builder.

The Newsletter screen (in the Marketing group) helps you build a list of subscribers and send them email campaigns.

This is the part of growth that doesn't depend on ads: visitors who don't buy today leave you an email address, and you can come back to them whenever you want.

What it is

Visitors subscribe to your newsletter through a pop-up on your site that appears after a short delay. You can customise the message - add promotions, signup bonuses, or any other relevant detail.

Signup form

The pop-up is set up in the site editor, under "Store" › "Newsletter pop-up" - see Site editor. Changes stay in the draft until you press "Publish":

  1. Turn "Pop-up" on and pick a layout (see below).
  2. Fill in the copy - heading, message, button label and success message, per language.
  3. Set a delay in seconds before the pop-up appears.

The pop-up doesn't nag

A visitor who has subscribed or dismissed it never sees it again.

Image and overlay

Pick one of three ready-made layouts and fill in the copy - while the area is open, the editor's preview shows the pop-up open on your store, exactly as it will look:

  • Split image - image beside the form (choose which side). Recommended image: 1080 × 1350 px (4:5).
  • Compact - centered, no image. The quickest.
  • Image overlay - the form over a full-bleed image. Recommended: 1600 × 900 px (16:9). Optionally add a portrait mobile image (4:5) - then on phones the form sits over a full-height image. Without one, the wide image sits above the form on mobile.

On phones the pop-up always fits the screen: when space is tight the image shrinks (cropping as needed) so the copy, email field and button stay visible without scrolling.

For every layout you set the eyebrow, heading, message, button label, email placeholder and success message (per language). The close (X) button and the delay before it appears are configurable too. Desktop / Mobile at the top of the editor shows how it looks on each device.

Single opt-in, and unsubscribe is mandatory

Signup is single opt-in - the subscriber becomes active immediately. Every email you send carries an unsubscribe link, as GDPR requires; it can't be removed. Each email campaign also includes one-click unsubscribe straight from Gmail/Yahoo (the native "Unsubscribe" button next to the sender) - those inboxes require it for bulk mail, and it improves your deliverability.

Subscribers

The list shows every subscriber with their status (Subscribed / Unsubscribed) and source. You can:

  • add a subscriber manually by email;
  • unsubscribe or re-subscribe a subscriber;
  • delete a subscriber.

Email campaigns

On the Email campaigns tab, New email campaign starts a new email. The builder is the same one used for email notifications - add heading, text, image, button and product blocks, with a live preview. The live preview also shows an inbox preview (logo, sender, subject and preview text) - exactly how it looks in an inbox list. When you're ready, press Send to all subscribers - the email goes to every active subscriber with their personal unsubscribe link. Sent email campaigns stay in the history with their recipient count.

An email campaign over your allowance won't send

Each plan includes a monthly newsletter allowance (Solo 2,000 / Pro 10,000 / Business 30,000 / Enterprise 100,000 per calendar month). If an email campaign would exceed what's left, the send stops and the email campaign stays a draft - upgrade your plan or buy an email pack (see below).

Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, abandoned-cart reminders) do not count toward this limit.

Sending usage & email packs

Above the signup form you'll see the Sending usage & email packs card: how many emails you've sent this month against your plan's free cap, your available pack credits, and how many you can still send now. Newsletter and favourite-promo blasts share this allowance.

If you need more sends than your monthly cap, press Buy email pack and pick a size: 1,000 = €2, 5,000 = €8, 10,000 = €15, 20,000 = €29. Payment goes through Stripe's secure checkout; once paid, Stripe brings you back to this page with the credits already in your balance. If we refund a pack, its credits (or the matching share, for a partial refund) come off your balance; if they were already sent, your next pack covers the difference first. If the refund never reaches your card or we cancel it, the credits come back to your balance by themselves. Credits also come off if the bank disputes a pack payment and the dispute ends in the cardholder's favour.

Credits never expire

They're spent only after your free monthly cap runs out, and anything unused rolls over to later months - a pack you buy is never wasted.

Tips

  • An image with a clear message and button often collects more signups than plain text.
  • All three layouts are mobile-optimised - try each to see which fits your message best.

Next step

Setup is done - from here the guides cover running the site day to day. If you sell online, that means orders, returns and customers. What every site has in common is the contact-form inbox: Inquiries.
