Translations & languages

Add languages and translate your content and labels - with search, an All/Customised/Missing filter, and one-click revert.

The Translations screen lets you offer your site in more than one language and translate the content and labels for each.

This is the last step in designing your storefront. Add your languages now, before you enter products - that way every new piece of text has somewhere to be translated the moment you create it.

What it is

Your site can run in several languages. Visitors switch with the switcher at the top. Here you translate the public site's text for each active language.

Languages

  • Which languages are active and which is the default is set by the ZweiHost team. Contact us if you'd like to add or remove a language.
  • Only active languages show on the site. You need at least two for the switcher to appear.
  • Switching language keeps the visitor on the same page - a product, category or article re-renders in the new language, selected filters included. The page does not do a full reload and the visitor is not sent back to the home page.

What gets translated

  • Interface labels - the shared wording across the public site (buttons, section titles).
  • Your content - product, category, and service names, plus the text you've entered.

Translations are grouped by topic. Each group shows which languages have missing text so you can fill the gaps quickly.

How it works

  • Search - the search box above the groups finds a row by its key or by the text it currently shows on the site, in English or Bulgarian. For example, type "Goes well with" (or "Върви добре с") to find that label and change it to "Combine with". Only groups with a match stay visible, already expanded, with the matching part highlighted.
  • Filter - the All / Customised / Missing buttons beside the search narrow the list. Missing (with a count badge) shows only the rows still blank in one of your active languages, so you can work through the gaps quickly; Customised shows the rows you've already changed from the default.
  • Open a group and fill in the fields for each language.
  • An empty field means the default value will be used.
  • To undo a change, click the revert button that appears next to a customised field - it restores the shipped default.
  • Click Save for the group. The saved text shows on the site right away.
  • The delivery line under a product's price (key products.delivery.line) is the same text as "Delivery line" in the Site editor › "Product page" - here it saves at once, in the editor with "Publish" and only for the languages edited there; the last change wins. Left at the default it is the automatic sentence naming your first courier; {days} (key products.delivery.dispatch, "1-2 business days") and {courier} are optional. A product can have its own line in its editor (Basics tab) - see Products.
  • The page for an address that does not exist (404) lives in the Not found group: the "This page doesn't exist" heading, the explanation under it and the home-page button. Search "This page doesn't exist" to change it.

Tips

  • Start with your default language, then fill the rest.
  • Watch the "missing" markers - they show what's not translated yet.
  • Short, clear text translates more easily and looks better.

Next step

Your storefront is designed. If you sell online, the catalogue phase comes next - products, categories, variants, bundles and badges, listed directly below this one in the Help Center. If you don't, carry on to Email notifications.
