Bundles let you sell a set of several products together at one bundle price that beats buying them separately - a fixed amount or a percentage off the products' sum. They're managed from the Bundles screen.
Requires the Pro plan
Bundles are available on the Pro plan and above. See Billing to change your plan.
How they work
A bundle contains at least two items: two different products, the same product added twice, or one product with quantity 2 (for example "2 T-shirts for 30 €"). When a customer buys the bundle they pay the bundle price, not the products' separate prices. The storefront shows a comparison: "separately X vs Y as a bundle - you save Z".
- The bundle price replaces the members' prices when bought as a bundle.
- Promotions and coupon codes do not further discount a bundle (it's already a deal), but the bank-transfer discount still applies.
- The bundle price counts toward a promotion's conditions - the minimum order amount and the minimum number of items. Example: with "−20% on orders over 60 €", a 70 € bundle and a 20 € T-shirt get 20% off the T-shirt. The cart, the total at the top of the shop and checkout show the discount before the order is placed. When the promotion covers only some products, only those products' share of the bundle price counts.
- Stock is checked for every member product against its quantity in the bundle: "2 x T-shirt" with one T-shirt in stock shows as sold out. A row the customer splits across variants or models adds their stock up.
- Quantity pricing (Pro plan and above): pieces inside a bundle do not add up with the same product bought on its own. A product with quantity pricing is valued in the bundle at the row its quantity reaches inside one bundle - so the "separately X" comparison and the saving shown are real. Several bundles in the cart do not add up.
Creating a bundle
Click New bundle and enter just a name and a URL. The bundle is created immediately and its editor opens - products, price and images are added there.
A new bundle starts paused until it's ready to sell (see "Activating" below).
The bundle tabs
| Tab | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Basics | Name and description (per language), page URL, bundle status, showing the pieces on product pages |
| Products & price | Which products are in the bundle, in what order and quantity, plus the price (fixed or % discount) |
| Images | The bundle gallery (the first image is the main one) + the pieces' numbers on the photo |
| Sections | Description sections for the bundle (e.g. "What's included", "Care") - you fill in the "Per bundle" slots |
| SEO | Search title and description + a preview of Google and social sharing |
Top-right, "View in store" opens the bundle's public page in a new tab.
Products & price
- Add at least two items: two products, or one product with quantity 2. For a product with variants you can pin one exact variant or choose "Any variant" - then all variants take part and the customer picks the size/colour on the bundle page (sold-out combinations grey out). A product with a single variant is chosen automatically. A row set to "Any variant" with a quantity of 2 or more is split across variants by the customer (see below). Set a quantity for each, and drag the handle on the left to reorder the products - that order shows on the bundle page.
- To find a product, open the product field and type part of its name - the list shows only the matches (several words in any order, upper or lower case). Arrow keys move, Enter picks, Esc clears the search. On a computer the column names Product · Variants · Quantity sit once above the rows, and a product without variants shows "—" in the Variants column.
- Pick the pricing mode: Fixed price (one amount for the whole bundle) or % discount (1-90% off the sum of the included products). With the percentage the price follows what the customer picks - the storefront shows "from X €" pricing. In both modes a live comparison beside the field shows what the customer saves against buying separately, updating as you type.
The customer splits the items
A row set to "Any variant" with a quantity of 2 or more is split by the customer: "T-shirt × 5" can become 2 × S, 2 × M and 1 × L, in one colour or several. The same goes for a product from an option catalogue (Brand → Model, say): five cases can be for two different phone models. This happens automatically - there is no setting for it.
- On the bundle page such a product has rows: one dropdown per field (Colour and Size, or Brand and Model) and a quantity. Above them it says how many items are left, and "Add another combination" adds a row. A combination already chosen on another row, and sold-out options, cannot be picked.
- The items must add up exactly to the bundle's quantity - until they all are split, the bundle cannot be added to the cart and a row missing a choice is highlighted.
- The price does not change: a fixed price is the same for every split, and a % discount is recalculated when the order is placed. Quantity pricing counts all of the product's items in the bundle together, however they are split.
- In the cart, at checkout and on a confirmation that lists the items, the split shows under the product (for example "30 WHITE / S ×2 · 30 WHITE / M ×1"). In the order each combination is a separate line under the bundle, with its own stock check.
- A row with one exact variant, or with quantity 1, keeps a single choice as before. A customer who wants every item the same puts them all on one row.
Images
Upload your own photos, or one-tap a photo from any member product to reuse it (it's copied into the bundle's gallery). The first image is the thumbnail; the bundle page shows the gallery as a carousel. Drag the cards to reorder them.
The main image shows square on the bundle card (on the Bundles page and in the product listing). A square photo (1000×1000 px or larger) shows whole; a taller or wider one is trimmed at the edges.
Points on the photo
Below the gallery, the Points on the photo card puts each bundle piece's number on the photo - say "1" on the shirt and "2" on the jeans. Shoppers see the same numbers on the photo on the bundle page, next to the pieces under "Choose options", and in the photo corner of each card under "Products included in this bundle".
- The number is the piece's place on the Products & price tab: the first piece is 1, the second 2. Reorder the pieces there and the numbers follow them, while each point stays on its own piece.
- Pick a piece on the right (by default the first one not placed yet) and click the photo where it is. The next unplaced piece is picked for you, so a whole set takes a few clicks. Drag a number to move it, or reach it with the keyboard and use the arrow keys. × removes the point.
- Each piece has one point, on one of the photos. With two or more photos a strip of them sits on top - the number on each says how many points it carries, and the piece says "On photo N".
- Points sit only on saved photos: upload and save the photo under "Bundle images", then place the numbers. Reordering the photos keeps the points; remove a photo and the points on it go with it.
- Change the product on a row under Products & price and that row's point is removed - the new product is a different part of the photo.
- Changing only a row's size (variant) keeps its point. If the pieces were changed or reordered in another tab while the card was open, Save refuses and asks you to reload the page - so a number never lands on the wrong piece.
- Click Save in the card. With no points the bundle page looks exactly as before.
On the bundle page the numbers sit on the photo currently shown. Only the numbers sit on the photo. On a computer, pointing the mouse at a number shows the piece's name beside it (in a "Shop the set" section, its price too); on a phone just the number. Tapping a number scrolls to that piece's size choice and focuses it; a piece with no choice to make scrolls to its card under "Products included in this bundle". While a photo with points is shown, the zoom on mouse hover is off - clicking the photo still opens it full screen.
Description sections
If you've created "Per bundle" sections (Site editor → "Product page" → "Description and sections"), this tab shows them so you can fill them in for this specific bundle - for example "What's in the set" or "Care". An empty section doesn't show on the bundle page. The slots are defined once for your whole store and filled in here.
On the bundle page
The bundle's public page also shows Fast order (when enabled - the customer orders the whole bundle with their contact details), a favourite button (when customer accounts are on - saved bundles appear in the customer's account) and the reviews of the included products (with the Reviews add-on). A bundle has no rating of its own, so it shows the reviews of the individual products in it, clearly attributed.
Changing it from the cart. A bundle the customer chose something for (a variant, a model or a split of the items) has an "Edit" button in the cart, at checkout and in the mini-cart. It opens the bundle page with the choices already made, and a note at the top says the customer is changing a bundle from the cart. Instead of "Add bundle" there are "Save changes" and "Cancel" (Fast order is not shown).
- "Save changes" replaces the cart line in the same place and with the same number of bundles. If the new choice matches another line in the cart, the two lines merge and their quantities add up.
- "Cancel" takes the customer back where they came from, with the line unchanged.
- A combination that has sold out since is removed, a note under the product names it, and its items go back to be split again.
- If you have changed the bundle in the meantime (removed a product or changed a quantity), the page opens with nothing chosen and a note that the bundle has changed.
On product pages
On the Basics tab, the On product pages card has a "Show the pieces beside the buy button" switch. It is off for every bundle until you switch it on.
When it is on, the page of every product in the bundle shows a "Complete the set" block beside the buy button, with the bundle's name and the other pieces - each with a photo, its price, its own size (or other variant) choice and an "Add" button. Below them are the price of the whole set and an "Add the set" button.
- "Add" puts only that piece in the cart, at its own price. The button stays inactive until a variant is chosen, and sold-out variants cannot be chosen.
- "Add the set" adds the whole bundle at the bundle price - with the variants chosen in the block and the variant chosen for the page's own product. Until everything is chosen, the button is inactive and a line under the price says what is left.
- A product in several bundles with the switch on shows the first one in the Bundles list order.
- A paused bundle does not show, even with the switch on - the card says so.
- While the switch is on, the card has a "Block heading" field - the heading above the bundle's name, one per store language (for example "Complete the look"). It is saved with the card's "Save" button. An empty field shows the heading from Online store → Translations (you see it greyed in the field) - "Complete the set" by default. A language with no heading filled in also shows that Translations heading in its own language, never the heading of another language.
- The block's other labels ("Add", "Add the set") and the shared heading for every bundle are renamed in Online store → Translations (search for "Complete the").
- The block does not show for a bundle with a product from an option catalogue (Brand → Model) or with a personalisable product, nor on the page of a personalisable product - such bundles are bought from the bundle page. A bundle of one product only ("2 x T-shirt") has nothing to complete and does not show either.
- A piece with a quantity of 2 or more takes one size (variant) for all its units in the block. A shopper who wants the units in different sizes picks them on the bundle page.
In a "Shop the set" section
A bundle can also show as its own "Shop the set" section on the home page or on a category page (the Pro plan and up; category pages - Business): the bundle's chosen photo with its points, the pieces with their numbers and an "Add the set" button. The section is added and set up in the site editor - see Site editor. It reads everything from the bundle, so the price, pieces, photos and points are changed here. A paused or deleted bundle does not show in the section either. A bundle with a product from an option catalogue or a personalised product cannot be picked for the section.
In the Meta catalog
On the Basics tab, the "Meta catalog" card has an "Advertise on Meta" switch, off for every new bundle. Switched on, it adds the bundle to your Facebook and Instagram ads catalog as its own item - at the bundle price, with the separate total struck through. A paused bundle, one with no image, one not cheaper than separately, or one with an option-catalogue or personalisable product stays out of the catalog. More in Meta catalog.
In the order, the customer's account and the emails
In the order a bought bundle is one line with its pieces under it - size and stock, no price; it is removed and moved as a whole. In the customer's account (Orders) a bundle is one line with its pieces' photos, sizes and counts, and "Write a review" stays on each piece, because a review is for the product.
In every order email (the confirmation, the notification to you, tracking and the reminders) a bought bundle is one line: "Bundle · 2 pcs" above its name (the pieces in one bundle), how many bundles were bought and the bundle's price, with the pieces' separate total struck beside it. Its pieces are listed under it: photo, name, size and count, with no price - a piece's share of the bundle price tells the customer nothing. The same bundle bought twice with different sizes is two separate lines.
"Not cheaper than separately"
If a member's own discount, or a campaign that covers it, makes buying separately cheaper than the bundle (or the same price), the bundle is flagged in the list and in the Products & price tab. It then won't show customers a savings message - adjust the price or pause the bundle.
A bundle is never paused for you - it stays active and orderable. Instead we tell you at the moment you save the change that makes it no cheaper:
- A campaign (a category's Campaign tab, or the Store campaign in Categories › Settings): before it saves, a window lists the bundles that would stop saving money, with the bundle's price and the price of its products separately. Choose Save anyway or Cancel.
- Any other change that can lower the price of a product in a bundle - its price or compare-at price, a variant's price, the product's categories, adding products to or removing them from a category, moving, re-ruling, hiding or deleting a category: the change saves and an amber notice says which bundles no longer save money, with a button to them.
- Product import: the Import complete card says the same.
Only active bundles that this change tipped are named. A bundle that already did not save money, or a paused one, is not listed.
Activating and deleting
The toggle - on the list row or in the Bundle status card - shows or pauses the bundle without deleting it.
A bundle can only be activated once it's ready to sell: at least two items (two products, or one at quantity 2), a valid price (a fixed amount above zero, or a 1-90% discount) and at least one image. That's why a newly created bundle is paused. If, in the bundle editor, an active bundle drops below two items or loses its last image, it pauses itself rather than staying broken in your store.
An active bundle also pauses when you delete a product or variant it contains - from Products, from a category's "Products" tab, by removing a variant or by no longer selling in variants. That product's row disappears from the bundle, and its price was set for the whole set. The dialog where you confirm the delete or the variant removal lists those bundles beforehand, each with a link that opens it in a new tab. Open the bundle, check what it includes and its price, and switch it back on. In the list each bundle shows how many items it holds (for example "2 items" for "2 x T-shirt").
Order in the store
Drag the rows in the list to order your bundles - that order is used in the store too. It also decides which bundle shows on the page of a product that is in several bundles with "Show the pieces beside the buy button" on.
Image size
A bundle page uses the same gallery as a product page, so it follows the same Product image size setting (Site editor → "Product page" → "Gallery"). Change it there and both move together - there is no separate bundle setting. See Products.
Next step
Your catalogue is nearly there. All that's left is making individual products stand out with coloured labels. See Badges.
